The modernist painter, Ramon Casas i Carbó (Barcelona, 1866-1932), opened in 1888 a series of studies for the inner courtyard of his family house on Nou de Sant Francesc street in Barcelona. These little-known paintings and drawings, will take him to create, between 1889 and 1892 these four works in the same space, where the painter would introduce the figure "a plein aire" with light and shadows caused by shutters that protected that corner in the hot summer days.
Persiana Barcelona in his presentation, wanted to remember with an installation of shutters the spaces that Ramon Casas painted in the terrace of his youth, placing them in the terrace of the House Casas-Carbó (the present Vinçon) where the artist lived and worked from 1896 until his dead.
