„Melange from Biedermeier style to present
times“
In
agreement with the building owner, Loebell Architects were assigned to choose
the whole furnishing and to optimize the floor plan for the two stories of the
Penthouse.
Entering
the flat the view through the lounge is focused on a representative
Hoffmannluster. Through the windows in the living room you can catch sight of
the cupolas of the Museum of Natural History.
The
furnishing in the living room in the lower level was chosen by formally request
of the building owner in classical Biedermeier and Art Nouveau. The decent
brown and facile golden colors of the furnishing arise an impressively general
view. (overall picture)
The wall of
the sitting room (living room) plus also the kitchen wall are painted in a luxory
BMW-beige color. In addition to that the kitchen is designed with beige fronts
with pressure caps and a working surface in stainless steel.
The floor
plan of the lower floor got optimized by following. The kitchen was positioned
next to the light well facing the courtyard and the direct entering to the
wardrobe got closed. Therefore the whole room directly opposite of(facing) the Museum of Natural History can be used as
living room. The kitchen disappears perceptional in the backspace. Alongside
the living room a cozy corner with a couch was established.
In the
upper floor the Architect had more freedom styling the interior. From the
lounge a dog-legged stair heads up to the roof-top, than facing the roof of the
Museum of Natural History. Stunning. The
living room of the parents was only separated from the vestibule with a glass
sliding gate. As interior-designer Jean Paul Gaultier is represented with a
quadrinomial “Mah Jong” suite. Two O-Space light bulbs designed by Foscarini
are highlighting the axis from the parental living room to the parent´s
bedroom. These rooms are connected through a double wing door and for both
rooms silk-brocade-curtains with black flowers from Italy were chosen. The
curtains mirror the colors of the cupolas on the roof of the Museum o. N. H..
Both from
parent´s bedroom and from the parent´s living room you can enter the winter
garden. A big window reaching all over the whole length of the winter garden
allows you to enjoy the free summer sky facing the roof of the Museum of
Natural History.
The parents
sleep very well on the bedding from Hästens. Instead of the classical dark-blue
and white check the colors were adapted to the furniture. In the parent´s
bedroom brown to golden colors are dominating and in the guestroom and nursery
conservative white and gray.
Crossing
the flat the impression of an atmospherically blend from Biedermeier to present
times arises.
