This temporary flat is situated in the north of Madrid. It is a short term accommodation when its owners, a young family with a daughter, are in town. A turnkey project has been carried out for the integral refurbishment of the top floor of a building, which is lit by Velux windows located on the roof plane itself. A minimum intervention has been carried out in which, as a requirement of the client, no modifications have been made to the structural or common elements of the building.
The result is a flat with two bedrooms, a dressing and storage area, an open kitchen, a living room and a bathroom, with contemporary minimalist lines and white and wood finishes. The floors are made of wood and the bedrooms are separated from the living room by glass openings with black-finished metalwork, achieving a feeling of spaciousness throughout the space. The access doors to the rooms have been integrated in continuity with the custom made furniture and integrated in the wall, generating clean plans and increasing the functional and versatile space of this house.
