The Challenge: A parking structure near the old city of Damascus. The Proposal: Fit as many cars as possible in the site. Three floors underground and three up. The three floors over the ground are elevated 5m to ensure a better environment for pedestrians and to give a positive image of the old city for tourism purposes. The skin patterns is generated from deforming a traditional scheme used of the old city houses and is made from light plastic materials in response to car movement inside the structure.
