Presentation here: I was honored to be invited to speak about my experience contributing to the rebuilding efforts in Thailand after the 2004 "Boxing Day" tsunami, and to contribute to the fundraising campaign for Architecture for Humanity to help after Haiti's earthquake. One hundred and seventeen PechaKucha Night cities came together to raise money for the reconstruction in Haiti on the February 20th, 2010, 4 weeks after the earthquake in Haiti. Raising $79,000 for Architecture For Humanity, the money helped build a school which opened in 2011."...We question, we grieve, and
begin to heal much the same.
People everywhere are people.
We have children, we have jobs, we express ourselves through music and
art, we share food together, we fall in love, we love our families. Remembering this when we see
tragedy hit a place far away, is what connects and unites us."
