With Peaches, an exclusive nail salon in a prominent location on Vienna's Karlsplatz, Destilat has created an atmospheric spatial experience that stands out from the ordinary thanks to its clear design language, high-quality materials and subtle tension. The interior design is based on the principle of homogeneous surfaces - floor, wall and ceiling visually merge into a calm, almost sculptural whole thanks to an elaborate spatula technique. Some of the transitions between the components are softly rounded, which reinforces the monolithic effect of the room and at the same time dematerializes it.
At the heart of the planning was a precise examination of the compact room volume. An intensive floor plan development, closely coordinated with the functional requirements and needs of the clientele, enabled maximum comfort and freedom of movement in the smallest of spaces.
The understated elegance of the room is contrasted by striking color accents in rich pink - strategically placed to create visual tension and recognition. The staircase to the upper floor was designed as a spatial highlight and forms an architectural statement within the restrained overall concept.
The result is an interior with an urban, international flair - unagitated yet impressive. Peaches stands for a design that consciously sets itself apart from the competition and communicates an independent, contemporary brand image: self-confident, feminine and clear.
