Firm
Temporary structure design for a private developer. The space includes exhibition hall, meeting rooms, office, cafe, event hall, etc. The mesh structure serves as sun shading canopy as well as an icon of the pavilion, providing secured courtyard in front, ventilation light well in the middle, and also shaded terrace adjacent to the event hall on the upper level. Mesh structure is generated from voronoi pattern applied to the free 3D surface, extruded into proto-honeycomb structure while maintaining each surface flat. The pavilion is to be built by the summer, 2011.
