The project consists of the creation of a pavilion that expands the services of an existing house and integrates harmoniously with it. The intervention also extends the exterior platform above the terracing, offering additional enjoyment of the plot and the stunning surrounding landscape. The pavilion is attached to an existing barbecue structure made with masonry stone. The roof of the new building extends as a cantilever over the pre-existing structure, providing a sheltered passage from the rain between the two buildings.
Transparency becomes the essential component of this pavilion. Large glass panels wrap around the entire perimeter, bathing the interior in light and offering users an immersive experience in the environment.
A selection of natural materials creates a timeless and inviting aesthetic. The flooring is made of Alicante Crema Marfil stone, laid in a herringbone pattern. The bench and the front of the kitchen, along with the table, are made from dark travertine. The pavilion’s structure, the kitchen, the table legs, and furniture are made from natural wood. Finally, a natural clay plaster forms the interior wall finishes.
Warmth is reflected in the color palette and textures used inside the pavilion. The warm tones of the wood combine with traditional design elements to create a relaxing atmosphere. Tradition blends with modernity in the choice of furniture and decorative details, which offer comfort and functionality without compromising aesthetics.
The project is a delicate architectural exercise that uses the ingredients of transparency, natural materials, warmth, and tradition. It creates a space that invites contemplation of the landscape, while providing comfort and functionality for the enjoyment of its users. The aim is to achieve a convergence of architecture and nature, a place where the beauty of the surroundings becomes an integral part of the life experience.
