SCHWEIZER PAVILLON 17. INTERNATIONALE ARCHITEKTURAUSTELLUNG – LA BIENNALE DI VENEZIA, 2020
Concept Description
Architecture is concerned with urban planning, volumetry, facade- and spatial structure, roof, etc. But what is always forgotten is the ground, be it the floor, a floor slab or roof. Many times, floors are simply placed in a volumetry, maybe there is once a split-level, but that seams to be all. How can the ground evolve and how do the ground, walls and furniture hang together? Which morphological possibilities of vertical overcoming can be further developed or reinterpreted, be it stairs, ramps, elevators and which merging possibilities of the individual elements are there? We want to put the forgotten soil in the center again.
