EDGE worked with Carnegie Museum of Art Director Lynn Zelevansky to
shape the space for this landmark retrospective of Paul Thek’s work.  The
space supports the chronological arrangement of the artwork, creating
thresholds emphasized by a compression of space and a dimming of light between
the widely varied phases of the artist’s work.  The show culminates in the
compelling space that evokes one of Thek’s last shows, known as the ‘Swimming
Pool’,  for which Thek hung his paintings very low to the floor.
