The brand Patisserie Tafelzier was founded in 2017 when opening of the first shop in Nuremberg / Germany. In intensive workshops with the Patissier, the team of toc.designstudio developed a concept around the world of patisserie. From naming, interior design to corporate design, photos, packaging design and corporate wording, everything comes from the hands of the interdisciplinary office.
The name Tafelzier comes from the patisserie history and stands for the origins of craftsmanship. When there was no porcelain in the 17th century, pastry chefs designed table and room decorations for the table. Through the use of the historical term »Tafelzier«, a tradition is revived but interpreted in a contemporary and modern way.
The overall appearance of the brand is minimalist and elegant. A style with soft, subtle tones gives the products full attention. White and gray with copper details meets the current colors of the season. For spring and summer, these are orange and red tones, while the shop presents itself for the winter season in dark green tones. In addition to the large refrigerated counter for fresh patisserie products, the packaged goods are presented on an oversized cake. On top, a white gorilla sits as a winking warning for the incalculable emotions that could overwhelm the customer. Since the best way to experience the product is to taste it, there is also a tasting area in the store where you can enjoy the sweet delicacies along with a coffee in soft lounge armchairs.
In order to meet the high precision of the patissier's craftsmanship, the counter and built-in components were planned and implemented as individual custom-made products. Thus, for example, the cladding of the refrigerated display counter with the different temperature ranges is designed as jointless cube. The rioom high shelves are also custom-made items. The lighting system uses special luminaires, whose light color enables optimal presentation of the sweets.
For the winter season toc.designstudio has developed a campaign for the sweet and sinful winter collection 2017/2018. "The pretty and mysterious Élise from Paris visited the Patisserie Tafelzier and turned the pastry chef's head and inspired him for new creations." ... that's the story Based on the taste of Elisen-ginger bread, the office developed a storytelling concept that is implemented in advertisements, billboards and packaging. Elise from Paris is the ambassador and source of inspiration for the winter collection.
