The shop’s ground floor is located on the colorful street of Mont-Royal impelled the creation of a space that is distinguished by its neutrality, acting as a monochromatic backdrop to the vibrancy of both the street and the pastries within. The neutral gray interior elevates the wonderful shapes, textures, and hues of the products on display. This voluntary restraint isolates the senses, and the focus becomes only the pastries themselves; the customer almost begins to taste with their eyes!

All pastries are made in-house, with the production floor set in the rear of the space. It is separated from the shop area by a mid-height wall that encourages the sounds and smells of the kitchen to tease the senses of the patrons beyond. A theme of assembly-line production is demonstrated by a band of hemlock slats that extend above the dividing wall and span the full depth of shop space, recalling the aesthetic of the wooden pallet or the conveyor belt.
