This project exhibited a patchwork nature, consisting of various facets and sections that initially appeared chaotic in their intersections. However, this quality also held the potential to create positive outcomes. We identified this characteristic as the project's main strength, and the design team focused on establishing a foundation that would effectively manage these intersections, allowing for a harmonious and coherent expression within the project's context. Much like a patchwork rug, despite the diversity of forms and patterns, there was a perfect balance and harmony.
Consequently, the concept of patchwork played a crucial role in reimagining this old building along Qaem Maqam Street. Ultimately, our goal was to create a spatial experience that would extend and resonate with Iranian identity, both in its visual representation and the content embedded within.
