This Shopping center was built only 100 meters far from the beach. The site allowed connecting four of the main places of interest in this touristic destination: la quinta avenida, el muelle Del ferry, the golf course and residences of Playacar and a hidden archeological site.
The architecture of Paseo del Carmen refers in a way to the old Mediterranean villages, even though it is perfectly adapted to its context, emphasizing the local materials such as “Vista Maya” stone –used in walkers and exterior furniture- and the typical wood such as the mohagony, Chechen and the zapote –used in louvers and arbors.
One of the main attractions of this shopping mall is the fact that it is actually an outdoor avenue. This characteristic is a distinctive feature that recognizes and takes advantage of the region´s climate and vegetation. The shopping experience is enriched by the tour among the carved stone fountains, the site trees and the shadows that create freshness in this tropical ambience.
