To build a building between its long façade in the direction of the depth of the plot, forces to squint into the street and facing the neighbor; to overcome these drawbacks of perception the following tactics have been implemented:
- The perimeter wall of each house is treated as a thickness of light, and thus to live in light and not between meridian walls, thicknesses which, in turn, sift the perception of them.
- The building is, as well, crossed by the light and thickened as a vertical inner courtyard, reaffirming the individuality of each house and the notion of "living in a home" instead of "living in an apartment" and as well as overcoming the traditional notion of living in a row, that has the separation wall as the main character.
- The outside street has become an inner, side garden, to which the buildings eyes open, in its multiple expressions: balcony, terrace, glazed corners, etc. The street was introduced in the plot and multiple views animate it.
- The landscaping concept works the crossing of the space: in the street outside, perpendicular landscaping seeks to contain the street and bring the edges together to reinforce the perception of going "through": the building is felt on the street as a friendly receiver; in the plot, perpendicular landscaping of the building develops "upwards" on the dividing walls of the plot; this crossing pursues both expansion of domestic space as well as its intimate containment.
