The offices
result from two remodels. The
first was under the direction of Legorreta + Legorreta and the last under the direction
of Bosco Architects, for the installation of offices in this office suite,
including interior design.
Generally,
everything was adapted to the work requirements of Bosco Architects and to the characteristics
which describe them such as the spirit of discovery, color and the use of the
firm’s design furniture.
Hereinafter the
spaces resulting from the last remodel are described:
The facade was
covered with a composite surfacing and was taken upward to simplify its
exterior appearance. It is an
orange-colored surface and the doors are painted the same color to achieve
continuity.
On exterior of
the house a double-height patio was built, protected against being seen from
the outside by an extended cover on two of its sides. This type of triple-height space was utilized
as a multiple-use space. A dining
room-meeting room was added to this patio and integrated into it which has a
full-service kitchen.
The main office
is made of two spaces which in turn are integrated by a double-height gallery. The first space is a Graphics Room good
for meetings regarding plans. The
second area, appropriately, is the office and reception area of the Director.
In general, all
of the space is integrated through the use of one single line of wood furniture
design from Sabino (Ahuehuete), giving a great feel of unity and a unique
strength.
The handling of
light through the use of double crystal domes and pergolas gives the offices
great light and at the same time achieves total isolation of the interior
context.
