The Paros hotel is the new hotel designed by the 314 architecture studio situated in the island of Paros in Greece. Specifically the hotel is designed to combine the organic forms with its surrounding of the island while drawing its inspiration from smooth and curvilinear lines.
One of the most distinctive elements is its white long walls with gentle curves which resembles a series of sand dunes or rolling hills, mirroring the natural landscape. The architecture is influenced by desert landscapes, where the smooth, wind-sculpted forms of dunes or rock formations are echoed in the building's design. The walls create a fluid movement, guiding the eye and inviting visitors to explore its paths. Large arched openings punctuate the facade, providing glimpses into the interior spaces while also framing views of the natural scenery. The use of earthy materials, enhances the building's integration with its environment, suggesting a harmonious coexistence between architecture and nature with a minimalist yet striking aesthetic.
The architects drew their inspiration from the traditional architecture of the ruins of the Cyclades, characterized by its simplicity, whitewashed buildings, and circular forms. This architectural style, renowned for its minimalism and functionality, serves as the foundation for the resort's aesthetic. Inspired by the graceful curves of nature, the architectural design seamlessly blends organic elements with modern principles, enhancing the space with a sense of natural flow and harmony. This integration not only adds refinement but also fosters a contemporary ambiance, enriching the environment with layers of interest and originality.
This design ensures that guests can enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets from the comfort of their rooms. These areas are designed to capture the beauty of the Cycladic scenery, offering stunning views of the sea and the surrounding landscape.
The resort employs eco-friendly practices and materials. Natural materials such as local stone and wood are used to create a sense of fluidity between the built and natural environments, ensuring durability and sustainability. Through thoughtful design, Paros Hotel provides a luxurious and serene escape for those seeking to experience and explore the magic of the Cyclades.
