The Parklife project is a comprehensive design, where JA has designed all aspects, from infrastructure and architecture to landscape.
The homes are positioned on the elevation contours of a steep 7.5-hectare site in Tirana, allowing all the paths between the homes to be horizontal.
This is further emphasized by the sawa-like gardens between the buildings, with elevation differences of 1 meter. Each garden features its own type of planting, which changes color through the seasons, ranging from olive trees to oleanders, and from Japanese plums to pine trees.
All parking spaces are underground, accessed via a single ring road, meaning the homes are situated in a park. The plan is designed as a safe environment for families and children.
The buildings are made from various materials, ranging from brick, ceramics to concrete. Together, they form a transition from white to cream to earthy tones against the hill.
