Scherr+Klimke received the order for the project development of a new public garage. In the first planning step, criteria for user and customer friendliness and safety had to be formulated. Furthermore, target criteria were determined as the basis for the realisation planning with regard to design and cost effectiveness up to the minimisation of the life-cycle costs.
The new parking garage accommodates 627 parking places including regular parkers on seven parking levels.
The reception hall with customer information, public toilet, telephone service, parking ticket machines as well as a retail shop are accommodated in the entrance storey on level 0. The parking levels are developed from there with a generous staircase and three elevator installations.
The entry and exit to/from the parking levels takes place with circular spindle ramps outside of the parking levels of the main building structure in the form of spacious roundings from horizontal roadways to the ramp inclinations.
The video-monitored parking garage is not only externally an architectural highlight in the urban landscape, but also offers a bright and friendly interior atmosphere which fully satisfies the safety needs of the parking garage user.
