The parking garage Opéra has been opened as first partial project of an originally three-part plan. The teams Zach + Zünd Architekten, Vetsch Nipkow Landschaftsarchitekten, Heyer Kaufmann Bauingenieure and Jürg Altherr Künstler won the project competition successfully and built the base for the project. In 2007, the Opernhaus rejected the other two parts of the project and therefore the parking is not connected to the Opernhaus and stands separately.
