Public areas of residential estate Park Residences in Jurmala city
In early 2016, the interior design company Katz (www.katzhq.com) completed implementation of the interior project of common areas for Park Residences, one of the largest premium class residential estates recently launched in Jurmala city. Park Residences consists of 4 apartment dwelling houses, one of them, Park Apartments, is designated for apartment hire, while the apartments of the other houses will be sold off to private individuals.
Katz designers made the interiors for all the common areas of Park Residences – lobbies, passages and stairwells. Their interior concept of three houses of Park Residences is based on themes from three famous park areas - Hyde Park of London, Central Park of New York and Forest Park of Dzintari in Jurmala itself.
Central Park
The Interior of the lobby of the Central Park house is made elegant with subtle allusions to the era of Art Deco and ambiance of the splendid New York of the 1920s. The walls of the lobby are decorated with plastered panels of waved texture and dark chocolate coloured oak panels, the floor is made of polished Black Galaxy Star and Emperador Dark granite tiles, assembled to make a classical chess-type pattern. The affluence of glossy surfaces, mirrors and glass together with design furniture brings a festive mood to the whole space. Gypsum bas-relief with floral motifs of the lobby fits excellently within the strict geometrical shapes of metallic installations with backlights, separating the lounge area from the rest of the room.
Hyde Park
For the lobby of the Hyde Park house, the interior is based on the English classics in a fresh, new interpretation. Here, soft textiles and subtle shapes coexist side by side with strict geometry and industrial accents, creating a unique combination of traditional colonial style with contemporary interior elements. The walls are decorated with light coloured oak panels, textured plastering, Evelyn West tapestry, emphasized by an eye-catching three-dimensional diamond-shaped pattern of the floor. Warm colours, soft leather chairs, flower installations and paintings make the lounge area cosy and sophisticated.
Dzintaru Park
Traditional Baltic restraint and conciseness of the Dzintaru Park interior is highlighted by bright colored accents and exceptional shapes of design furniture. The light color palette of the interior is emphasized with dark coloured elements, the floor being made of white marble and black granite tiles, with the lounge and elevator areas marked with contrasting depictions. The natural pattern of oak panels with backlights, smooth shapes of accessories and abundance of light makes the atmosphere as aerial and peaceful as the promenade along the beach of Jurmala seaside.
