The Paris Block is a beautiful 1907 Edwardian character building. This ambitious refurbishment project was conceived as a heritage conversion of 29 incumbent luxury lofts plus street level retail within a 100-year-old commercial building. The challenge was to uphold the flavour of a historic shoe factory, while upgrading the infrastructure, refurbishing the facade and retrofitting a new function. Preserved were; exposed steel beams, high ceilings, original brickwork and exterior signage. The resulting Paris Block lofts embody charm, character and a reborn function- a design that successfully pays homage the old industrial factory.
