In this project, Cedrus Studio was responsible for the interior design of the penthouse and roof garden of the Paramis Garden residential tower. Paramis Garden is a high-end residential building in the north of Tehran, Nakhjavan neighborhood, designed by MK Architects. At the penthouse, the MK requested a luxurious yet modern interior architecture.
The penthouse provides private outdoor spaces, including a terrace, garden, and swimming pool. In the case of this duplex interior design, an office suite is situated on the 2nd floor. The concept that generated the design consisted of integrating luxury elements, contrasting with minimal and contemporary accents, and pursuing to ensure a harmonious and integral composition. For instance, employing black stones, bronze steel, wood, leather, and delicate shades of luxury decorations has made the space look more exquisite. The characteristics of the space allowed the development of an environment with adequate natural light and panoramic views of the exterior. The project is characterized by the high degree of detail in its elements, creating an aesthetic character capable of generating different sensations in the user. The Penthouse was developed for a single family demanding a place to combine privacy with socializing space.
The interior proposal is designed in two general areas. First are the semi-private spaces of the project, such as the living room, dining room, terrace, and kitchen. The main feature of this space is its high degree of detail in its luxury elements, large windows, and high-continuous ceilings that accompany the living room, provoking a sense of spaciousness in the user. It preserves homogeneity and balance about its materials and decoration, characterized by warm and dark colors. On the other hand, the intimate area of the project is characterized by the dominant use of white and gray colors and simplicity while creating a comfortable atmosphere. The entry hall acts as a connection between these two parts. It is a dark cube with a combination of wood and mirror, which creates a gradual transition between the semi-private and private space.
The concept of fluidity and dynamism are the mainstream of the entire project and has been applied for all levels and spaces, such as in the main living space, master bedroom, working room, office suite, and outdoor space, allowing a continuous journey through the building.
The main staircase to the office suite becomes the focal point of the living area. The suite bathroom is designed with the natural concept of growing vertical plants, which creates a comfortable and calming atmosphere. The space can flow directly between the bathroom, working area, dressing room, and sleeping space.
On the top level, the owner can step out onto the roof, which provides an open outdoor space, thus allowing family and friends to enjoy the sun and fresh air. This outdoor space with the BBQ kitchen, sunbath deck, and dining area is conceived as a dynamic space surrounded by delicate planting.
