The Randy and Susie Papé Complex at University of Oregon is the home field for the University of Oregon's women's soccer and lacrosse teams and one of the finest and most advanced facilities of its type in the country. DLR Group's design adds to the University's collection of nationally-recognized sports facilities, providing outstanding sightlines and amenities for fans and a new synthetic turf playing field for the soccer and lacrosse players. At the main entry, a wood wrapped canopy creates an eye-catching iconic element with the prominent placement of the signature Oregon O. A comprehensive graphics package is used throughout the facility featuring inspiring soccer and lacrosse images to promote the University of Oregon's athletics brand identity.
This collegiate soccer and lacrosse complex features bench-back and accessible seating for 890 fans. Spectator seating is situated close to the playing field. It is steeper than required for an intimate fan experience, conveying the feel of a much larger venue. The soccer and lacrosse teams have their own dedicated locker rooms with individual maple lockers and direct field access. A team meeting room shared by both programs is outfitted with two 55" screens and one 55" SMART teaching board. Both programs have offices in the building and share a training room. Ticketing, concessions, and field access are concentrated near a gateway entrance to the stadium that is flanked by two towers rising above the height of the seating bowl. A press box, scoreboard and public address system are included. DLR Group provided architecture, engineering, and interior design services.
