Panonija Hotel is located in Sisak city center. It was built in 1970s as the first hotel in the city and its first major renovation happened in 2007. Reorientation of Sisak from industrial to tourism centered city has led to the need for further quality and competitiveness improvement of the hotel. First phase of the improvement is the refurbishment of the ground floor – entrance hall with a reception, hotel lobby with a cafe bar, hotel restaurant and additional interventions in the design of the multifunctional halls.
The analysis of the current state of the hotel and guest fluctuation defined the points and level of intervention, as well as new facilities that would contribute to the diversity of the hotel offer. The final design fully recognizes the need for spatial unity and blends different areas into one unique whole, using floor, wall and ceiling cladding with lighting as an integral part of the interior. It enables functional coherence, but also the possibility of flexible space division. The aim is to achieve a bright and comfortable space by using light tones, wooden paneling and color accents.
