Work to this existing two level timber beach house included renovation of the existing kitchen, an addition of an ensuite bathroom, and a basement level. The house slopes away from the road, and had a large undercroft area under the existing house where the owners wanted to build a rumpus room with accommodation and a deck for their teenage son and his friends.
Designed to the owner's brief of a 'Nantucket' feel, the interior walls were lined with tongue and groove boarding and rooms opened on all sides to the surrounding timber decks.
