Sibat, a construction
engineering firm based in Paris,
suffered from a lack of identity in both its working spaces and its general
image. Our challenge is to provide it with a distinctive character, to create an
entirely new visibility to the company through the destructuralization of its
offices.The
existing premises, lacking in character and with no reception space, consists
of a long blind corridor leading to storerooms. The objective of our
intervention is to reinforce the structural character of the corridor by
prolonging one of its sides. Painted blue, it is extended throughout the entire
premises.At either
end are communal areas. A spacious entrance hall gives onto a glass fronted
assembly room that allows the light to penetrate. A piece of furniture dissimulates
office equipment, playfully reflecting the light. Opposite, the wall facing the
corridor, entirely covered by a mirror, acts as a periscope reflecting the
light from outside. The presence of the blue wall, clearly identifiable,
operates as the identity image of the firm SIBAT, declining its logo, portraying
its characteristics and accomplishments and providing a space entirely
dedicated to communication.
