The Padina restaurant project is designed in a 65 m² site, locating in the Pasdaran district of Tehran.
The main challenge facing this project was the height difference between the store and the sidewalk level. Due to this height difference, the interior space of the restaurant was observable by the pedestrians. The space underneath the table was apparent from the outside and thus made the customers feel uncomfortable. To solve the problem, a flower box was designed along with the exterior space of the restaurant. In addition to controlling the sight to the interior, this strategy created a green body facing the city.
The main characteristics of this project are as follows: creating a platform between the flowerbox and the tables in the restaurant, using the rotating lamps to increase flexibility, diversity in spatial arrangement, the distinction between spaces, the impact of plants on interior landscape, the urban image of the project in day and night, considering the details and far and near perception domain of the project, the exclusive design of the font of the restaurant’s name.
