For this Atlanta property, the state of the facade was uninviting, the vegetation concealed its profile and the design made the home look shorter than it is. In addition, the light distribution in the foyer was highly uneven.
With this renovation work, the facade was redesigned to allow for more natural light, reflect the grand interior character of the home and create a subtly whimsical sense of arrival. The aim of visually elongating the front was achieved with the introduction of large windows and dormers and a Juliette window was added as a tribute to the past and age of the home.
