Pace University wanted to display banners on its 41 Park Row building, a New York City landmark that was originally The New York Times headquarters. PB+A replicated original escutcheons designed to hang gas lanterns from the limestone facade and anchored them to the stone without affecting its appearance. This strategy, historic research, and presentation obtained for Pace a NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission Certificate of Appropriateness, which is required to perform the work.
