Oxley Christian College is a co-educational school, offering education for Students from Prep to Year 12.
The Prep to Year 9 Students and the Information Technology Department were accommodated in temporary Modular Buildings since the College inception.
The building and works which form the basis of this project were for the construction of a new Prep to Year 9 Centre, providing permanent facilities for these Students and refurbishment works in one of the existing buildings to house the IT department. These new facilities replaced all temporary buildings in two stages of works and was delivered in three new permanent buildings.
Stage 1
The new Lower Primary building and new Upper Primary buildings where part of stage 1 works. This accommodated Prep to Year 3 in 9 Learning spaces, Year 4 to Year 6 in 12 learning spaces and specialist rooms, and a central gathering space with tiered seating and presentation space over two levels.
Stage 2
The new Middle School building provides twelve learning spaces, staff work and support areas, a wellbeing wing and a central gathering space with tiered seating and presentation space over two levels.
The new facilities provide Learning Communities that reflect and enhance the educational, social and cultural aspects of the College.
As well as new Learning areas, new external Passive and Active Play spaces have been generated for the Students in these Learning Communities. A large central play space has been created in the heart of the college, linking existing and new facilities with a space for the whole school to come together.
