The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies has commissioned a new residential and conferencing facility. Our design is based on the tradition of Islamic design and Oxford quad pattern, with all accommodation grouped around green courtyards connected by passageways. The principal wing of the building, parallel to the road, has the student cluster flats above the conferencing suite, overlooking central Oxford. The residential apartments link across to the staff houses, which front onto the courts but have their main family rooms overlooking the private gardens at the rear, giving them privacy while still integrating them into the college.
