The project resides on a 5,000 SF lot with close proximity to San Elijo State Beach. The ground-up home took inspiration from clean lines and forms, a modern coastal palette with the blend of unique materials and the western view. Careful siting was used to create a private courtyard on one side of the lot while opening up the home to the views to the west. Coastal breezes will passively cool the home and strategically placed overhangs and shading devices will address the path of the sun.
