The ensemble was designed for the Cultural Centre of Bucharest Municipality new headquarters. The requirement was to create a space object with the role of central chandelier focused on the goal stairway. The designer choice was to use several suspension spots placed off-center. Thus resulted an ensemble composed of three unique organic shapes with personality, surrealist floating through space, filling it with flashes and reflections without being aggressive due to their dimensions (L = between 110 cm and 210 cm). Indirect light is reflected from the lower surface of the bodies thus creating a dual effect of warm glow lighting and unobtrusive. The pendants have one or two 11W LED light sources, natural white light and diffusion. Ostrea Light is made of fiberglass with opaque finishes: top facet has a coarse, rough texture, matte black color - the inferior facet is polished with a metallic finish (copper) in order to achieve that glossy effect that heats and reflect light. These finishes have been chosen taking into account the aesthetics of the building and the expressiveness of existing material: brick, steel and glass roughened granite.
The result is a luminaries ensemble, unitary and simultaneously surprising because it changes depending on the viewer's position.
