Ismael Leyva Architects was the Design Architect on this sleek Brooklyn tower. Oro - 306 Gold Street is located on one of Brooklyn’s major vehicular arteries, Flatbush Avenue. The surrounding context is a neighborhood in transition into a rejuvenated modern area of Brooklyn. Oro contributes to the neighborhood by being a new sleek beacon in the form of a 40-story tower with 400,000 SF of 303 residential units. The overall volume of the tower is derived from the site itself and responds to the adjacent context by the use of glazing and masonry. The stylistic elements used to articulate the form/facade are; rounded corners, an interplay of various fenetration types such as window wall, punched and ribbon windows and the obvious juxtaposition of glazed and masonry areas.
The amenities for the residents include a 50 foot lap pool, squash court, indoor basketball court, fitness area, and screening room.
