Nietzsche was
the first to proclaim the word desire: the will to power.
Desire as a
negative energy that must be alienated or isolated, desire can¹t manifest
itself to be real.
Postmodernism
philosophers reinterpreted desire as a positive energy. Desire can no longer be
prisoner by any faculty, organization, or anything as they thought before.
At103 villa
is about desire, - what we want and what we really need.
Its spatial
distribution is the consequence of a specific given program, this program is
divided into 5 houses that work as separated elements connected in the same
level the “need” program, but articulated through the “want” program. Above
ground and
the 5
houses or “need” program is divided by use in the following order:
Workers
Guests
Family
Parents
Kids
This
program is underground; it reacts to the shy introverted traditional house.
The “Want”
program is divided by use in the following order:
Access
Big double
height pool
Big living
room and library
Dining room
Tea and
Party room
This is
above ground and it shows the house as the desire object.
It operates
as accessories depending of the underground part. The programs are positioned
in a progressive manner interrupted by patios and gardens in between
activities.
