The house is located near Tehran (the capital of Iran), in the city of Lavasan. It is built for a four-person family to live in permanently. The structure is planned and built in three floors with approximately 800 square meters of facilities with following specifications:
- the ground floor units which include spaces for daily activities
- the first floor units which include bedrooms
- and the lower ground spaces that are considered for services, including parking and a swimming pool. During the initial site analysis, we realized that the environmental conditions and the existing neighborhood could cause a threat for security and privacy of the house. Since the subject of security and privacy is one of the most significant objectives of designing a house, this project tries to rely on the capacities existed in the context of the project through altering the disruptive scale of the outer spaces and creating smaller and more private areas.
The yards dug inside the project breath life into various parts of the house and create a secure image from the outside to the inside. These yards, which have been painted in order to own a unique personality, often carry a sense of security into the house. Ordibehesht House is a place for exploration and discovery, a place where the characteristics of each room are valued and design balance is a priority.
