Optoro’s new downtown Washington, DC office reflects the company’s core values: vanguard, sustainability, transparency, and value. Identified early in the design process, these four pillars became the foundation for Optoro’s new office design.
Optoro’s reception area includes two conference rooms with featured rolling doors highlighted with Lumicor panels to illuminate the lobby, mimic the look and feel of a warehouse, and offer abstracted transparancy. The sliding bar doors separate the office’s public and private space for events. The reception area’s light fixture by Tech Lighting adds light to the already bright elevator lobby. This lobby offers immediate access to the reception conference rooms and the gaming and lounge area.
The large conference room’s glass roof and wall pushes into the reception area, maximizing space and light. The Expoxy finish over the the concrete surface enhances the floor’s gray tones.
Optoro’s lounge flows into an open seating, gaming area, and pantry. Open meeting areas for collaboration can be found throughout the space. Optoro is committed to sustainability and ensured that this was reflected throughout the design process. All materials in the office use high recycled content, low-energy appliances, and LED light fixtures throughout the space. The Garden on the Wall preserved greenery overhead ceiling spans the open seating and gaming area.
Optoro is committed to sustainability and ensured that this was reflected throughout the design process. All materials in the office use high recycled content, low-energy appliances, and LED light fixtures throughout the space. The Garden on the Wall preserved greenery overhead ceiling spans the open seating and gaming area.
The majority of Optoro’s 14 conference rooms are constructed to be partially transparent. The floating line of conference rooms in the middle of the office alternate open office space with glass conference rooms, offering continuous views and flow. They feature custom welded hollow metal frames, adding to the airy views that span the space.
Optoro’s whitewashed reclaimed Stikwood conference room frames the room and flows with the spaces use of authentic, honest materials. A bank of seating to the left of this room provides additional workspace for flex employees.
Reclaimed Stikwood also frames the six phone booths that are evenly spaced througout the open floor plan. Each booth features different identifying black and white ROLLOUT wall coverings. Mohawk carpeting sections off the open work area from the Epoxy finished throughfare. Employee open benching features sit/stand desks.
