The interior develops the architectural concept. The main idea of the airport’s internal space was to combine the natural and industrial images of the region. Natural flexibility is conveyed by interior elements made in an accent copper color, which is also used on the facade. The airy, undulating ceilings made of expanded metal are a reference to the winding rivers, while the metal volumetric panels in the reception area or the rounded shapes of the commercial areas are a reference to the landscape. Industrial orthogonality shapes the interior space of the airport. Pure white became the basis of the industrial look. The rectangular functionality is emphasized by linear lamps that form complex structural compositions on the ceiling. Plants characteristic of the region were used to landscape the interior of the airport. Plant compositions help create a relaxed atmosphere in waiting rooms and reduce passenger fatigue.
