Award winning agency OMD asked Trifle Creative* to design a reception and ground floor workspace that would reflect their business and allow creativity and collaboration to flow.
It was clear that they had outgrown their old reception waiting area and were bursting at the seams. We spent a few months consulting with all the departments and teams so that we really understood how they worked, and what they wanted from their new space.

It was essential that we created an open, relaxed environment where employees and clients could discuss ideas and feed off the energy of this creative agency. We needed to find a way of releasing pressure on the meeting rooms upstairs by creating spaces in which small and informal conversations could occur. A reception space where the agency could showcase their work was vital, which also made a connection with the working office at the back of the building where many teams would collaborate.
We first extended and opened up the existing reception and ground floor to let in more natural light and connect the front of the space to the office in the back. We kept the two separate by adding in floor-to-ceiling aged metal and glass double doors leading from the reception into the busy working office beyond.
The different zones allowed for people to use the space in a variety of working modes: a relaxed lounge-style client waiting/greeting area with furniture, café-bar style work stations for short meetings and collaborating over coffee, small hubs for more intimate or focused meetings, and large communal tables with benches for larger groups.
The space has been transformed into a lively, informative, interactive, and sociable environment loved by clients and workers alike. The space is now the hub of the agency where meetings can happen and ideas can flow.
