The residence was designed for a young couple who wanted a place for entertaining friends and that would, in the future, accommodate children and could be enjoyed as a family.
To create a space for entertainment, the concept of the “sala avarandada” was used, whereby the living space opens up onto a veranda, allowing the indoor and outdoor spaces to interact.
The design policy of this office is always that of minimalism, where less is always more.
The project’s design was based on the idea of separation of house functions but at the same time establish fluidity in their interactions. The project has a minimalist theme, using pure forms and materials, creating a clean architectural appeal.
The greatest challenge was to fit the entire client program on one floor within the 423m2 plot.
The floor plan of the house was designed to be an integrated whole, where living room, dining room and gourmet outdoor kitchen become a single environment, providing greater fluidity of the plan. In providing natural lighting and cross ventilation the design provides greater efficiency to the thermal comfort of the home. The design also provides a view of the garden from any point within the house.
The greatest gain is achieved in integrating the social and recreational areas.
The façade stands out, simply designed with a pleasant aesthetic.
The entire façade opens out, protected with slatted panels made of Cumarú wood, which permit a view to the outside and at the same time provide privacy to the residents and guests.
The interior design follows that of the exterior in its minimalist theme, using quality products and natural materials to project a clean and timeless architecture.
