For the design of Ogst, a restaurant created by Sébastien Wygaerts and Diederik Herbots, Architectslab chose to embrace the brutalist character of the stripped building: the brickwork and existing wooden floor construction both remain ‘naked’, covered with nothing more than a layer of paint.

The table tops are wrapped in a natural canvas. This fabric softens the feel of the tables and adds more texture and warmth to the minimally designed space.

To shape and enrich the interior, Architectslab designed a specific light fixture for this restaurant: a simple pendant light with a lamp shade in polished messing. By multiplying these fixtures and varying their heights and positions, a contemporary golden ‘chandelier’ is created, which forms the focal point of the design.
