The second part of construction, as part of the outdoor installations of the Obstallee quarters, has been handed over to the public. The park of generations and culture was funded by the program ‘Soziale Stadt’ and implemented with the help of the Quartermanagement ‘Heerstraße Nord’ as well as the district ‘Spandau’. The project is based on the results of a public participation, held by gruppe f, which had already taken place in the year of 2009. It creates a meeting point for the entire neighborhood, offering a variety of sport- and play facilities for all kinds of age and user groups. In addition to that a spacious meadow with fruit-trees and picnic tables was established. During the next construction phase a new lighting concept will be designed allowing the local residents to pass the park safely during the night.
