Here is the harmony of diversity from white futurism to rounded glazing tapes, parabolic arches of school buildings, a green “curtain wall” of the school theater, glass waves along the main staircase overlooking the central square and the warm Iberian sand volume of the kindergarten with mosaic inlay. The town theme, consisting of unique, but united by a common style and composition of buildings, has become decisive in searching for an architectural vision.
This project implements the concept of aesthetic education when architecture becomes part of the program and affects the formation of personality. The space saturated with images gently teaches proportions, taste, archetypal forms, as well as the ability to appreciate and respect other people's creativity.
The educational complex consists of a kindergarten and two independent schools, united by a common building and yard. This model allows the client to divide the construction into several phases and launch the schools as business projects separately.
The school building is located between the Children's Academy of Arts and the Institute of Hydrobiology. The architectural view of the building as well as the configuration of the windows, the total volumes and proportions do not contrast, but in harmony with the surrounding buildings. The project also provides for the landscaping of the site outside the school, which faces the avenue.
Objective
Create an education complex that can be built in several phases and run several operators of school programs with their administrations.
Solutions
recuperated ventilation will complement the natural ventilation system; the installation of thermal air and geothermal pumps is also planned;
the kindergarten building stands alone, and thanks to its soft forms and color scheme, creates a feeling of comfort, security and carefree;
kindergarten mosaic supports the idea of filling and revitalizing the classroom with works of art, art-objects are also planned on the school premises;
in addition to the central square between the buildings, the school area is formed of streets, passages and cozy, shaded open classes between arches.
Facts and details
The first art object on the school grounds is the installation of Ukrainian artist Alexei Burdiy – a forest of giant pencils.
