This facility is constructed combining two educational functions for two different age groups; one area is a dormitory for overseas students since enrollment is increasing due to the internationalization of the University and the other area is for preschool children. It includes 245 private rooms, with lounges and various other rooms for the younger children. The characteristic plan of most of the private rooms is to have a full bath situated in the back of each room. This design was conceived to achieve the best living environment for the location which borders the railroad. "The Bend Perforated Plates," which is a distinctive feature of the building, acts as a fence and a screen along the side of railroad track. They also made it possible to shorten the construction period without the necessity of using of scaffolds. The intention of the architect is to convey a new way of communication and culture from this facility where multinational college students and young children live together.
