A rather inelegant 1950s house was stripped down, remodeled, and enlarged to create new spaces that are more open, more flexible and better organized. All reconfigurations and finishes reference a mid-century aesthetic appropriate to the original house, while also providing modern accoutrements such as solar panels, efficient heating and cooling, low-e dual glazing, recessed motorized shades, in-ceiling audio system, and a dedicated screening room.
