Seasonal Residence
An enclosure is established as the fundamental act of the house, maximizing the use of space within the plot, both vertical and horizontally. This maximization of space creates a prism that is then excavated to create the living space, a large horizontal plane of everyday life. The lack of necessity of shelter and protection from the exterior thanks to mild climate gives architecture a new freedom. Opacities and transparencies are used to give the impression of a place that looks bigger than its actual size. This spatial dilatation is careful in keeping intimacy, modulating its amplitude in order to propitiate a diversity of usage of its different spaces.
