The shape of the house is a result of an adjustment to the terrain in order to maximize terrain’s favourable aspects. The building is formed on the ridge in the central part of the site and sweeps along two natural depressions on the north-east and south-west side. An intimate space is formed between the building and steep terrain on the north-east side, while the building in the south-west opens up to the public space of the park.
The public park and the nursing home park spaces supplement each other. Such spatial composition ensures a clear differentiation between public and private space as well as unconstrained movement among the functional elements on the site, giving them a broader context.
