When designing the nursery-kindergarten to be built in Didžioji Riešė, we drew on the best examples of Scandinavian educational buildings. The building, with its playful yellow window surrounds, will have 9 group rooms, which will be arranged in a circle in a way unusual in Lithuania. They will also be adapted for children with disabilities.
The group rooms will form a circular corridor system with showcases to an open courtyard, where a recreation area and an event space are planned. We have also focused on the sustainability of the building and the comfort of the children and staff. The building will be extremely warm and efficient.
Plans call for a solar power plant on the roof of the A++ energy-efficient building, as well as state-of-the-art ventilation and cooling systems that will help to keep the indoor temperature comfortable at all times of year.
