New interior design for notary's office at Munich's Marienplatz
Oliv Architekten re-designed the three floors of a notary's office at the Marienplatz in Munich.
The office space was newly structured and a uniform appearance was created for all areas. The design language and the colour concept provide a representational and all-over modern appearance. Shades of grey, black and nuances of dark turquoise are complemented by warm tones such as cognac and beige. The characteristic materials are wood, concrete and textile elements. Glass partitions in the offices create transparency and illuminate the new central area with daylight. Characteristic of the style are the polygonal shapes of the bar and reception counters, which continue in the large format herringbone parquet flooring. The newly designed staircase, which is built on the existing underconstruction, is the connecting element comprising wood and steel across all floors. Particular attention was paid to the lighting design to set the scene for rooms and materials and create a correspondingly inviting and pleasant atmosphere.
